Film Series, tribute to Agnes Varda: One sings and the other one doesn't
As part of the commemoration of Women's Month, the Cinematography Department invites you to the cycle in honor of Agnes Vardaa pioneer of feminist cinema made by women, every Wednesday in March.
One sings and the other (1977): Presents the lives of two women in France in the 1960s and 1970s, with the feminist movement in which Varda participated as a backdrop. Pauline 'Pomme' and Suzanne meet when Pomme helps Suzanne have an abortion after a third pregnancy she cannot afford. They lose contact, but meet again ten years later. Pomme is a bohemian singer and Suzanne, a community worker at a family planning center. Despite their differences, they will remain friends, sharing several conflicts and affirming their feminine identities (over 14 years old).
