Summer concerts

Inaugural Concert: Directed by Eduardo Manterola Vergara.
Viña del Mar Youth Guitar Orchestra, is a guitar ensemble that performs classical and popular repertoire in arrangements for five voices: soprano, alto, tenor, bass and contrabass. This distribution allows to explore a wide sound register in order to make the most of the musical register of the guitar; incorporating, at the same time, classical guitar technique as well as popular guitar.
The concert will offer a journey through classical and popular music, with classics by Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara and Patricio Manns, along with pieces by Bach, Arensky and Offenbach. Highlights include works such as Cóndor Pasa, Por una Cabeza and Tico Tico no Fubá, as well as the opening of Shingeki no Kyojin. Latin American identity is reinforced with Danza di Calaluna by Inti-Illimani, in a varied program full of contrasts.
