Temporary Exhibition: Sara Rioja Ruiz

Sara Rioja Ruíz, daughter of Fernando Rioja and Sara Ruiz Fernández. They acquired the Rioja Palace in 1907 and held several parties until it became a social center. Very well remembered was the 1916 event where, Sara Rioja Ruiz was elected Queen of the Spring called the Cervantistas Games of Valparaiso, organized to commemorate the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes.
Today known as Museo Palacio Rioja or Museo de Artes Decorativas Palacio Rioja. It is a testimony that seeks to show part of the collections of the Museum, through books, documents, photographs and some objects of the family, as a way to highlight the contribution to our city and the country of the Rioja Ruiz family, as immigrants.
