The Municipality of Viña del Mar presents an unmissable family event at the Quinta Vergara, a stage that will welcome the award-winning national soprano Verónica Villarroel and, later, the National Ballet of Ukraine, with the classic "The Ukrainian National Ballet", which will be performed at the Quinta Vergara. Possessing great dramatic intensity and vocal richness, Verónica Villarroel is one of the most prestigious singer-actresses in the world. With her renowned talent, the Chilean soprano will kick off this day in which culture and art are the protagonists.
Since her international debut in 1990, her vocal quality and versatility have enabled her to perform the most important roles in prestigious opera titles, such as Madama Butterfly, La Bohème, Pagliacci, Turandot and Carmen, just to mention a few; sharing the stage with José Carreras, Andrea Boccelli and under the direction of Robert Wilson, James Levine, Anthony Pappano, Leonard Slatkin, Franco Zeffirelli and Plácido Domingo.

National Ballet of Ukraine By Grand Kiev Ballet
After soprano Verónica Villarroel, the acclaimed National Ballet of Ukraine By Grand Kiev Ballet will delight the audience at the Quinta Vergara with its technique, art, costumes, music and interpretative quality, product of more than 150 years of history in which it has been applauded by 40 million spectators from all over the world.
The cast, led by principal dancers Kateria Kukhar and Oleksandr Stoianov, will perform the classical ballet masterpiece "Giselle".
With music by Adolphe Adam, choreography by Jules Perrot and Jean Coralli and based on the play De l'Allemagne (1835) by Heinrich Heine, Giselle was first performed in Paris, France, in 1841.
The play tells the love story of Giselle, a simple and innocent young woman who falls in love with Albrecht, a nobleman already engaged to be married who, in order to win her, pretends to be a villager. Hilarion, deeply in love with Giselle, suspects the deception and tries to unmask it.
