Music at the Palace Cycle: Marga Marga Orchestra

Created and directed by Luis José Recart, the Marga Marga Orchestra was founded in March 2010 and has an outstanding trajectory that includes the Altazor Award and the Domingo Santa Cruz Award, both in 2013, among others. It performs a repertoire that includes composers of universal music from the 18th century onwards, with emphasis on those of the late 20th and 21st century, but gives priority to the dissemination of Chilean music by emerging and consolidated composers of the national scene. To its trajectory in the artistic field, it adds its constant support to Children's and Youth Orchestras of the region and the country, performing since its creation countless educational concerts throughout Chile.
